What happens after you submit

Consultation requests are routed to the design lead for your region and confirmed within one business day. Proposal requests are reviewed by our scoping team — for larger estate or commercial enquiries, we may ask a few follow-up questions before scheduling a site visit.

Yes. The first conversation — by video or in person — is unpaid and doesn't commit you to anything. If we agree to proceed, the next step is a paid concept design stage, which is scoped and quoted before you commit.
There's no strict minimum, but design-only commissions for very small spaces (under roughly 50 sqm) may be better served by one of our regional partner designers — we'll point you in the right direction if that's the case after the initial chat.
Often, yes — particularly on estate and commercial projects where a building architect is already appointed. We're used to working as part of a wider professional team, and can offer design-only services where another contractor will build the work.
For residential projects, 3–6 months ahead of when you'd like to start construction gives time for design, specimen sourcing and any planning permissions. For larger estate or commercial work, earlier is better — some of our specimen planting is propagated up to two years in advance.
Possibly — we occasionally take on design-only commissions outside our regional studios, particularly where we have an existing build partner relationship nearby. Get in touch and we'll be upfront about whether it's a good fit.
